Guide for the Labor and Welfare committee
Committee Overview
The Labor and Welfare committee advocates for labor rights, workplace fairness, and member welfare, including employment-related concerns, legal referrals, and welfare assistance programs.
This portal has one tab: Labor and Welfare Announcements — member-wide broadcasts from the committee.
The portal is gated by the Labor and Welfare access key. Full access allows posting announcements; viewing access is read-only.
Administrator accounts always have full access to this portal.
1. Getting to the Portal
Sign in to the Officer's Portal with your staff account.
Select the Labor and Welfare section, then click "Labor and Welfare Announcements".
If you do not see the section, your account does not yet have Labor and Welfare access. Ask an administrator to grant it.
2. Access Levels
Full access — you can view announcements and create new ones.
Viewing access — you can read existing announcements only. The "Create Announcement" button is hidden.
Administrators — always full access to this portal.
3. Working on a Phone
The portal is designed for phones: the tab bar scrolls sideways, announcement cards stack vertically, and the create button spans the full width.
For long announcements, write the content on a computer and post from there — the editor toolbar is easier to use on a larger screen.
Attachments are uploaded from the device you are using, so photos taken on your phone can be attached directly.
